Dire Threats

I can't go into much detail right now. I'm too stressed and frightened. Imaging shows a tumor on my spine that has almost completely wrapped around it. I'm extremely close to being paralyzed from the waist down. They may or may not let me fly home tonight. They are hesitant to let me do so. I'm not lifting anything at all. If I do go home I have to go to the emergency room immediately for a spinal MRI and to begin radiating that area of my spine before it's too late. Whether I'm in the ER here or there I will probably be there for a while. I'll update more later.

Things are very precarious. I'm very scared. Please pray, think positive thoughts, meditate, or whatever it is you believe in doing for Karen and I. We desperately need them. Thanks.

I know how you feel. I found out 1 year ago that I have more than 20 tumors on my liver. The largest one was about 4 inches and it ruptured. I almost died. Until that happened, I didn't even know I had them. They have been shrinking. What I can tell you is to keep your eyes on our Lord Jesus Christ. He has the power to perform miracles. And, best of all, He loves you and God has a plan for you. Look up. Look around. Look at the spirtual things and not the earthly things. He can bring you unbelievable peace to face whatever is ahead of you.

I don't know you, Sean. But I stumbled on your blog accidentally. And, I have a son named Sean too! I will say a pray for you tonight. Love in Christ, Brenda

By this time, I suppose you will be at the ER and getting reading for your MRI. If it helps at all, Sean, just remember that you have a lot of people, all over the country and overseas, pulling for you. I'm glad you were able to make the flight and that you have Karen by your side.

Damn...sucks so badly to hear man. Well kick this tumor's ass just as bad as the first one and shrug it off!

Best of luck.

Kinda getting away from the whole game forum thing but glad I checked in and saw the post about this. "Luminous beings are we, not this crude vessel." Let the doctors do what they can for your body, just take care of the "you" inside it.

Keep up the good fight Sean! You're a real warrior and an inspiration to myself and I'm sure many other people in your life. I've followed your story for the last year and I'm amazed at your strength, resiliency and courage. It helped me go through my treatment and keep a positive kick ass mentality. Don't give up...don't ever give up! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

You're always in my and the Missus's thoughts. We talk about you sometimes in an entirely inappropriate manner, after which we consider questioning our upbringing.

You're in our thoughts and prayers, and if we're still in contact down the line, I will buy you a golf cart and a bottle of Scotch for your 80th birthday. Don't mind the cork. It was like that when I bought it.

All my best, sir.
