Cancer Survivors Part 1 - Pete Postlethwaite

Everyone has probably heard the story of Lance Armstrong and his major whipping of testicular cancer, but there are many other (famous) men that have gone on to lead extremely amazing lives after beating testicular cancer.

Maybe you'd like to hear about some of them.

You probably don't know the name Pete Postlethwaite. When you see his face, you should know him. He has been in such movies as Hamlet (with Mel Gibson), The Last of the Mohicans, In the Name of the Father (for which he was nominated for an Academy Award), The Usual Suspects, Dragonheart, Romeo + Juliet and Amistad, just to name a few.

Not bad for a guy who Steven Spielberg calls "the best actor in the world".

He was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1990, and later had one removed.

By the way, every movie I mentioned above came out after he was diagnosed and if that weren't enough, he is currently starring in the title role of King Lear in Liverpool at the age of 62.
